STARA is located only 15 minutes from the
Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport at 61. South William Dillard Drive
in Gilbert, Arizona.
Depart the airport via the 202 east.
In about 5 miles take the exit
for the 101 south. Ride the 101 south for about 5.5 miles and take the
Eliot road exit. Turn left (East) on Eliot road. Ride Eliot road for
about 3 miles and right after crossing the railroad tracks take your next
right into the Eliot Commerce Center. STARA is the first building on
the left with the parachute shaped awning.

Although there are several hotels nearby,
STARA recommends that customers take advantage of the nearby Hilton
(Phoenix / East Mesa) hotel. Located three miles away at 1011
W. Holmes Avenue, the hotel offers high speed internet in every
room, a 24 hour fitness center and it is located across the street
from the Best Buy, CompUSA, Borders and the Fiesta Mall.
*Note, the room rate during April and
May is higher than per diem.

Because there's over 100 different
restaurants near the hotel it's best to highlight a few of
favorites.
Spicy Mexican / New Mexican
"Los Dos Molinos"
All meals come with a pitcher of water
and as the menu says "Sorry we do not provide a mild sauce, I do not
know how to make 'mild'"

Turn left out of the hotel and then
turn right on Alma School. The moment you cross Broadway, Los
Dos will be on your left. If you cross the train tracks you've
gone too far.
Healthy Fare on Campus
"Pita Jungle"
Located on the outskirts of ASU, Pita
Jungle offers lots of great salads and sandwiches served by students
that contemplate skipping class because of light rain.
Although healthy fare is usually avoided by our BBQ eating guests,
they all seem to like Pita Jungle as well.

Turn left out of the hotel and then
turn right on Alma School. After about 2 miles turn left on
Main Street. Ride main street for about 2.5 miles and after
you cross McClintock Drive look for Dorsey Street. Pita Jungle will
be in the strip mall on the right hand side. If cross Rural
Road you've gone too far.

"Joe's Real BBQ"
Surprisingly there aren't very many
great BBQ places in the Phoenix area so even though this one is a
bit further away, its worth the drive.

going to get on I-60 East. Ride 60E for about 4 miles and get
